Sumeet Bagadia Picks Five Breakout Stocks for Buy on 27 August
On Wednesday, 26 August, the Nifty 50 closed lower at 24,207.75, down 0.52%, as investors booked profits ahead of key US inflation data. The Sensex also declined, ending at 77,472.94 after a 0.24% drop. Despite the weakness in the broader market, the Nifty Midcap 150 remained largely unchanged while the Nifty Smallcap 250 gained 0.60%, indicating relative strength in smaller segments. Sumeet Bagadia of Choice Broking noted that Nifty needs to defend the 24,100–24,000 range to preserve the broader recovery structure, with a sustained move above 24,400 required to regain bullish momentum.
Bank Nifty outperformed, closing higher at 57,783.75, up 0.47%, supported by strong gains in private banking stocks like Kotak Mahindra Bank and Axis Bank. The index held above its rising trendline and short-term moving averages, with immediate support at 57,200–57,360 and resistance at 57,700–57,850. Bagadia added that a decisive breakout above 58,000 would be needed to confirm the next directional move.
On Thursday, 27 August, Bagadia recommended five breakout stocks for purchase. Rossell Techsys was advised at a buy price of ₹1,100 with a target of ₹1,190 and stop-loss at ₹1,048, citing a bullish breakout and improving RSI at 58.98. Yatharth Hospital & Trauma Care Services was recommended at ₹965, targeting ₹1,050 with a stop-loss at ₹910, after reaching fresh all-time highs and trading above key EMAs.
Indigo Paints was suggested for buying at ₹1,186, aiming for ₹1,280 with a stop-loss at ₹1,125, supported by a strong bullish fan structure of moving averages and RSI at 65.92. Lumax Industries was picked at ₹6,160, targeting ₹6,700 with a stop-loss at ₹5,785, following a 4.26% gain and RSI near 67.89. Lastly, Kross was recommended at ₹218, with a target of ₹235 and stop-loss at ₹205, based on its adherence to an ascending trendline since April and RSI at 62.42.
