Q1FY27 Results: BDL, 3M India Report Profit Gains; Natco Pharma, Alkem Lab See Declines
On 14th August 2026, several companies announced their Q1FY27 financial results, reflecting mixed performance across sectors. Bharat Dynamics (BDL) reported a significant jump in standalone profit after tax (PAT) to ₹118.79 crore in Q1FY27, up from ₹18.35 crore in the same quarter of the previous year.
3M India also posted strong growth, with PAT rising 31.1% year-on-year to ₹233.07 crore, compared to ₹177.69 crore in Q1FY26. Similarly, Ashok Leyland recorded a 2.5% increase in standalone PAT to ₹609.11 crore, up from ₹593.73 crore in Q1FY26, although this was lower than the ₹1,404.72 crore reported in the preceding quarter.
In contrast, Natco Pharma experienced a sharp decline, with standalone PAT falling 84% year-on-year to ₹74.6 crore from ₹464.1 crore in Q1FY26. The company declared an interim dividend of ₹1.50 per share, with the record date set for 20th August, and announced plans to raise funds through securities issuance not exceeding ₹2,000 crore. Its shares fell over 6% to ₹893 on the NSE.
Alkem Laboratories reported a 13.3% drop in standalone PAT to ₹569.98 crore in Q1FY27, down from ₹656.16 crore in Q1FY26.
Other notable results included Welspun Living, which posted a standalone PAT of ₹155.73 crore, more than doubling from ₹75.98 crore in Q1FY26, and saw its shares rise 5.5% to a 52-week high of ₹168.62 on the NSE. Cholamandalam Financial Holdings reported a standalone PAT of ₹4.38 crore, up from ₹2.11 crore in the prior year period.
NAVA recorded an 88.6% increase in standalone PAT to ₹266.05 crore, compared to ₹141.05 crore in Q1FY26, while its shares traded at ₹574, down 1% on the NSE.
The broader market showed mild weakness, with the Sensex opening lower at 77,903.43 and trading 0.38% down at 77,781.78, and the Nifty 50 declining 0.31% to 24,319.10.
