MSTC, BPCL, ONGC among top PSU dividend stocks with yields above 5% in FY26
Public Sector Undertaking (PSU) stocks with high dividend yields remain in focus for investors seeking stable returns in FY26. According to an SBI Securities report, eight PSU stocks have recorded dividend yields exceeding 5% in the financial year 2025-26, with the top three surpassing 6.5%.
MSTC India ranks eighth on the list with a dividend yield of 5.4%. Its shares closed at ₹738.05 on BSE, reflecting a market capitalisation of ₹5,195.87 crore. The stock has delivered a 43% return in 2026 so far and a 37% over the past year, supported by a return on equity (ROE) of 33%.
BPCL follows with a dividend yield of 5.5%. The Maharatna PSU’s shares closed at ₹304.5 on BSE, giving it a market capitalisation of ₹1,32,106.39 crore. The stock reached a 52-week high of ₹391.85 on February 5, 2026, and a low of ₹266.55 on April 2, 2026. Year-to-date, BPCL is up 20%, with a ROE of 17.34%.
ONGC recorded a dividend yield of 5.7% in FY26. Its shares closed 1.88% lower at ₹232.55 on BSE, with a market capitalisation of ₹2,92,554.39 crore. The stock has declined 2.25% year-to-date and 0.47% over the past year, despite an ROE of 12.82%.
REC Limited ranks fifth with a dividend yield of 5.9%. The stock closed marginally lower at ₹312.9 on BSE, delivering a 14.88% gain in 2026 so far and 16.49% over one year. Its ROE stands at 18.96%.
Other notable names in the top eight include IRCON International, which reported a 6% dividend yield, Coal India with a yield of 6.3%, and PFC with the highest yield in the group at 6.7%. The power trading firm PTC India leads the list with a dividend yield of 7.7%, closing at ₹152.9 on BSE and a market capitalisation of ₹4,525.97 crore, though it has declined 6.14% in 2026 so far.
