Meesho shares slip 1.66% after ₹945 crore block deal at ₹200.01 per share
Meesho shares traded lower on Monday morning following a block deal involving 4.72 crore shares, equivalent to 1% of the company's equity, which changed hands at ₹200.01 per share. The transaction, valued at ₹945 crore, took place in the pre-open block deal session and added to selling pressure on the stock.
As of 11.36 AM on the NSE, Meesho was trading at ₹202.28, down 1.66% from its previous close of ₹205.69. The stock opened at ₹207.24, reached an intraday high of ₹212.65 and a low of ₹201.56. Trading volume stood at 109.38 lakh shares with a traded value of ₹224.90 crore, with sell orders accounting for nearly 66% of the total quantity in the order book.
The buyers and sellers in the block deal have not been officially disclosed, though market speculation suggests Y Combinator may be the seller. Reports citing sources indicated the US-based accelerator was looking to offload up to 1.05% stake for approximately ₹957.5 crore, with a floor price of ₹197.5 per share, and a 30-day lock-in on any further stake sale.
Despite the intraday decline, Meesho shares have risen 9.25% over the past month and 11.46% year-to-date, significantly outperforming the Nifty 500. The stock was listed on December 10, 2025, and touched a 52-week high of ₹254.40 in December before correcting to a low of ₹125.56 in March 2026. The company's current market capitalisation stands at ₹93,502 crore.
