Lenskart Solutions shares surge to record high after China subsidiary launch
Lenskart Solutions' shares rose 5.5% to hit a record high of ₹640 per share on Tuesday following the incorporation of a new step-down subsidiary in China. The company announced that Wenzhou Framekart Trade Co., Ltd. was incorporated on August 14, 2026, as a subsidiary of Baofeng Framekart Technology Limited (BFT), a joint venture of Lenskart Solutions. The new entity will focus on trading, importing, exporting, and procuring spectacle frames and related optical products, materials, equipment, and technology for BFT and its subsidiaries. BFT will hold a 95% equity interest in the Chinese company, with an initial investment of RMB 1 million in cash.
The development comes after Lenskart Solutions increased its stake in BFT from 51% to 70% in its Q1 earnings filing, a move valued at approximately RMB 7.5 million or ₹10.6 crore. The company reported strong performance in the June quarter, with international business volumes rising 37% year-on-year to 2.3 million units, while the implied average selling price (ASP) remained flat at ₹5,278. In the domestic market, volumes grew 23% year-on-year to 8.2 million units, with ASP increasing 6% to ₹1,856, driven by premiumisation.
Lenskart Solutions added 132 net stores in Q1 FY27, including 116 in India and 16 internationally, bringing the total store count to 3,459, up 23% year-on-year. The company reported a net profit of ₹228 crore in Q1 FY27, a 273% increase from ₹61 crore in the same period last year. Revenue from operations grew 43.3% year-on-year to ₹2,714.18 crore, with India business revenue up 30.7% to ₹1,531 crore and international revenue up 38% to ₹1,203 crore.
Since listing, the stock has delivered strong returns, advancing 12% in the current month and building on a 9% gain in July. From an issue price of ₹402, the shares now trade 56% higher, providing solid gains for early investors. The stock has risen 39% in 2026 so far, outperforming amid broader market volatility.
