JSW Dulux sets October 22, 2026 as record date for 1:10 stock split
JSW Dulux has fixed Thursday, October 22, 2026 as the record date for its proposed 1:10 stock split. The announcement was made in a regulatory filing following shareholder approval of the subdivision plan.
Under the stock split, each fully paid-up equity share with a face value of ₹10 will be subdivided into 10 shares of Re 1 each. The record date will determine which shareholders are eligible to receive the additional shares.
The company’s board had approved the share subdivision during its June-quarter results review. Shareholders later endorsed the proposal through a postal ballot conducted on September 20, 2026.
JSW Dulux, formerly known as Akzo Nobel India Ltd, came under the JSW Group after JSW Paints acquired a 60.76% stake in the company in December 2025. The acquisition was completed via a share purchase agreement involving JSW Paints Ltd, Imperial Chemicals Industries Ltd, and Akzo Nobel Coatings International BV.
A stock split increases the number of outstanding shares while reducing the face value per share proportionally, leaving the company’s market capitalization unchanged.
For the quarter ended June 2026, JSW Dulux reported a consolidated net profit of ₹79.7 crore, a 12.4% decline from ₹91 crore in the same period of the previous fiscal year. Revenue from operations stood at ₹965 crore, down 2.82% year-on-year from ₹993.1 crore in Q1 FY26.
The paint industry anticipates continued double-digit growth during the festive season, supported by demand from housing, infrastructure, and automotive sectors. Companies are implementing price increases to counter rising input costs, though intense competition and volatility in crude-linked raw material prices remain challenges.
Peer companies including Asian Paints, Berger Paints, and Kansai Nerolac also expect sustained demand but remain cautious about geopolitical influences on petroleum-derived raw materials.
