Bajaj Auto, Info Edge, Aurobindo Pharma Futures Recommended for Short-Term F&O Trades
Indian equity indices are set to open muted on September 2, influenced by high crude oil prices and weak global cues. The Nifty 50 closed at 24,055.80 in the previous session, down 0.10%, while the Sensex settled at 76,944.28, down 0.02%. Nifty futures were trading around 24,031, indicating a subdued start for the domestic market. Global cues remain weak, with international crude oil prices above $90, raising concerns about potential rate hikes and a risk-off bias in global equities. The India VIX rose to 11.31 from 10.55, signaling increasing volatility if Nifty sustains below 24,000. Jay Thakkar of ICICI Securities recommends three stocks for short-term F&O trading: Bajaj Auto Futures, Info Edge Futures, and Aurobindo Pharma Futures. Bajaj Auto is forming higher highs and higher lows with long build-up in futures, supported by significant put additions at 12,000-11,500 strikes and the highest call base at 12,500. The PCR is at 1, max pain is at 12,100, and the stock trades well above this level. Aurobindo Pharma is trending higher with new highs and lows, low leverage reducing long unwinding risk, and the 1,600 strike having the largest call base. Max pain is at 1,600, which acts as critical support, with stop loss recommended below this level. Info Edge has been consolidating between ₹1,320 and ₹1,400, with put additions at 1,300-1,360 strikes and call unwinding at 1,360, making it a critical level. Max pain is at 1,340, serving as short-term support, and the recent up move suggests a test of the 1,450 level, the upper end of the broader range.
