AI-driven surveillance lifts CCTV stocks as Aditya Infotech nears 52-week high
Artificial intelligence is emerging as a key growth driver for India’s surveillance and CCTV industry, with conventional systems increasingly integrating video analytics and computer vision. This trend has brought renewed attention to stocks in the sector, particularly those benefiting from AI-led monitoring solutions.
Aditya Infotech, listed on the mainboard, saw its stock rise 5% to ₹3,989 on Monday, approaching its 52-week high of ₹4,094. The share recorded trading volumes of over 2.47 lakh during the session. On Tuesday, after hitting a fresh high, the stock eased marginally by 0.19% to ₹3,981 due to profit-booking.
Similarly, Prizor Viztech, an NSE SME-listed company, gained 5% on Tuesday to reach ₹1,316. The company’s market capitalisation stood at approximately ₹1,421 crore, with RoCE at 39% and RoE at 36%.
Aditya Infotech operates under the brand name ‘CP Plus’, providing video security and surveillance products, solutions, and services. The broader adoption of AI is expanding CCTV applications beyond security, enabling analysis of footfall, customer movement, queue lengths, occupancy, and unusual activity across retail, enterprise, and public infrastructure.
The shift from passive recording to intelligent monitoring is creating opportunities for AI-focused surveillance firms. Transline Technologies, which has filed its Draft Red Herring Prospectus, is developing AI-driven tools for video analytics, attendance tracking, and surveillance.
As surveillance systems evolve into intelligent monitoring platforms, AI and computer vision are becoming critical themes to watch in the CCTV and security technology segment.
